Mindfulness is “paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, with acceptance”
Meditation is “personal, intensive, and systematic training of the mind”
Mindfulness Meditation is “the effort to cultivate our ability to be in the present moment” (Definitions from Jon Kabat-Zinn)
Meditation in general and mindfulness meditation in particular: easy to learn, hard to master. Those who walk this path often feel isolated and lonely, especially if no one in their personal circle shares their interest. Sometimes, despite our best intentions, it’s just hard to discipline ourselves to regular practice.
This group is designed to help you stay motivated and practicing by creating space for skill development, sharing, support and encouragement in a community of like-minds. We’ll begin and end each session with a meditation. In between, anything could happen.....
